- Built for large-scale, high-precision, long-duration prints that work with the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX chamber heater to create a dual-heating temperature control system.
- Helps resin flow more smoothly in cold rooms, even with high-viscosity engineering resins.
- Automatically adjusts heating based on the machine's overall temperature, reducing the flow instability and print risks.
- Large 2L capacity with an internal MAX fill line, so long prints have enough resin without overfilling.
- The Heated Resin Vat uses a standard release film installation method, so you can cut and install an aftermarket release film yourself. For easier film swaps and a more consistent fit, we recommend pairing it with the Phrozen PFA (nFEP) Film for Mighty Revo 16K MAX Heated Resin Vat.

Product Overview
Product Overview
What Is a Resin Vat?
A resin vat is a key component of an MSLA 3D printer, which holds the photopolymer resin used for printing. During printing, UV light passes through the release film at the bottom of the vat, such as FEP, PFA, or ACF, curing the resin layer by layer to form the model. A stable, durable vat helps the print process run smoothly, keeps resin flow even, and supports consistent model quality.
What Is a Heated Resin Vat?
A heated resin vat adds a heating module to the original resin vat structure, helping keep the resin at a stable working temperature. It is especially useful for printing in low-temperature environments or with high-viscosity engineering resins.
The official Phrozen aluminum resin vat is CNC-machined and anodized for high strength, durability, and long-term structural stability. It also comes with a pre-installed release film, so you can start printing right after installation.
Key Features
- Smart resin vat heating: Works with the printer’s standard chamber heating to create a dual-heating temperature control system, helping prints stay stable in cold environments and with high-viscosity engineering resins.
- Automatic heating control: When heating is enabled, the vat heats based on the printer’s internal chamber temperature status, helping resin maintain steadier flow in low-temperature conditions.
- Full aluminum CNC body: CNC-machined aluminum gives the vat a strong, durable structure that helps maintain shape and sealing over long-term use.
- Anodized surface: Adds durability and helps reduce wear over time.
- Easy-pour spout: A dedicated pour spout makes resin changes and resin draining easier.
- Pre-installed release film: The vat ships with release film already installed, so no extra setup is needed before first use.
- Official compatible design: Each vat is made for its matching Phrozen Sonic printer model, ensuring the dimensions and mounting structure fit properly.
- Aftermarket release film compatibility: The Heated Resin Vat uses a standard release film mounting structure, so you can cut an aftermarket release film to size and install it yourself. For proper fit, film tension and consistent release performance, we still recommend using Phrozen PFA (nFEP) Film for Mighty Revo 16K MAX Heated Resin Vat.

Product Highlights
The Phrozen Heated Resin Vat is an optional add-on for the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX. It works with the printer's built-in chamber heating to create a dual-heating system. It is designed for users who print in low-temperature environments or with high-viscosity engineering resins.
Smart temperature monitoring: The machine heats both the chamber and the resin vat to the set temperature before printing begins. If the temperature drops abnormally, the system automatically sends an alert right away.
The Heated Resin Vat uses a standard release film installation method, so you can replace the film the usual way. We recommend official Phrozen PFA (nFEP) Film to keep film tension and release performance consistent.
When Do I Need to Replace My Resin Vat?
Resin vats generally have a long service life, but you may need to replace one under the following conditions:
-
The vat shows warping or poor sealing
-
The mounting structure is damaged
-
The vat surface shows significant wear
-
The heating module malfunctions (fails to heat, or shows abnormal temperature readings)
If only the release film is damaged, you typically only need to replace the film itself. The Revo MAX Heated Resin Vat uses a standard release film installation method, and we recommend Phrozen PFA (nFEP) Film for Mighty Revo 16K MAX Heated Resin Vat.
Why Choose the Official Phrozen Heated Resin Vat?
Using the official resin vat helps maintain printer stability and print quality:
- Smart resin vat heating works with chamber heating to create a dual-heating system.
- Stable printing in cold environments and with high-viscosity engineering resins.
- Large 2L capacity helps long overnight prints run without interruption.
- CNC-machined aluminum alloy structure.
- Durable anodized surface.
- Easy-pour design for cleaner resin handling.
- Pre-installed release film.
- Designed specifically for Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX.
Use and Care Tips
To extend the life of your resin vat, we recommend the following:
-
Clean the vat after every print.
-
Avoid contact between the release film and sharp tools.
-
Replace the release film immediately if it is damaged.
-
Empty the vat before long-term storage.
-
Keep liquid away from the heating module contacts when cleaning.
-
Wipe with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth, then let the vat dry completely.
-
If the printer has been in a room below 15°C for a long time, preheat the chamber before starting the print.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the heated resin vat come standard with the printer?
Does the heated resin vat come standard with the printer?
No. Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX comes standard with the Quick-Release Resin Vat. The Heated Resin Vat is an optional upgrade sold separately.
Can I switch between the Heated Resin Vat and the Quick-Release Resin Vat?

Yes. Both vats can be used with Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX. The Heated Resin Vat is better for cold rooms or high-viscosity resins, while the Quick-Release Resin Vat is better when faster film replacement is the priority.
Does the Heated Resin Vat have a quick-release film system?
Does the Heated Resin Vat have a quick-release film system?
No. The Heated Resin Vat uses a traditional release film installation method with a frame and screws. If fast film replacement is your priority, choose the Quick-Release Resin Vat.
What is the heating temperature setting?
What is the heating temperature setting?
The machine heats both the chamber and the resin vat to the set temperature before printing begins. If theoverall chamber temperature drops abnormally during printing, the system will automaticallysendan alert.
Which release film should I use with the Heated Resin Vat?
Which release film should I use with the Heated Resin Vat?
Use Phrozen PFA (nFEP) Film for Mighty Revo 16K MAX Heated Resin Vat. Do not use the Quick-Release Resin Vatversion, since the size and installation method are different.
Can I cut an aftermarket release film to fit the Heated Resin Vat?
Can I cut an aftermarket release film to fit the Heated Resin Vat?
Yes. The Heated Resin Vat uses a standard release film installation method, so you can replace the film the usual way. If you want to buy an aftermarket release film, you can cut it to fit the vat and install it yourself. How is a Heated Resin Vat different from a standard resin vat?
How is a Heated Resin Vat different from a standard resin vat?
A Heated Resin Vat adds a heating module to the standard resin vat structure, helping resin stay at a stable working temperature. It is especially useful in cold environments and when using high-viscosity engineering resins, such as Tough 100E, where stable temperature can significantly improve print success rate and surface quality.
Why is the resin vat made of aluminum alloy?
Why is the resin vat made of aluminum alloy?
Aluminum alloy offers strong durability, helping the vatmaintaina stable structure and resist warping over long-term use. For the Heated Resin Vat, aluminum alloy also helps transfer heat more quickly and evenly to the resin inside the vat.
How often does the resin vat need to be replaced?
How often does the resin vat need to be replaced?
Resin vats aregenerally builtto last a long time. If the structure becomes damaged or warped, we recommend replacing it with a new one.
Which resins are compatible with the resin vat?
